North Ellis County Business Expo
Looking for a unique networking and lead-generation opportunity? The North Ellis County Business Expo is the ideal opportunity to market your business in several different ways, and position yourself as a trusted leader in your field and your community. The NEC Business Expo not only provides your business strong exposure to fellow business owners, but also members of our community, as this event is free for the public to attend. As an added bonus, we have partnered with area school districts, and we will have in attendance a multitude of graduating seniors, and they will be there to talk about future careers (both post-graduation and post-college), as well as how they can become successful entrepreneurs and business leaders in our community.
Red Oak Chamber Classic
Our Red Oak Chamber Classic is held each April, located at Thorntree Country Club in DeSoto. Every year, proceeds from our annual golf tournament are put toward the Red Oak Area Chamber's Scholarship Program, a program that began in 2002, and has contributed over $100,000 to graduating seniors from both Red Oak High School and Life High School Waxahachie. But…this is not just a normal day of golf. Have you ever shot a golf ball cannon? Tee off with a Marshmallow? Aside from the shenanigans on the course, there are many opportunities to walk away with several great prizes, awesome raffle opportunities, and above all, bragging rights that last until next year.
Red Oak Founders Day
The Red Oak Founders Day Parade and Festival is hosted by the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Red Oak, and is held every year in September, located at Watkins Park at the corner of Live Oak Rd and Waller St. The day begins with a lively parade down Red Oak Rd. full of fire trucks, marching bands, classic cars, cheerleaders, and all your favorite hometown teams. After the parade, come over to the park and enjoy activities for kids and families, vendors, food trucks, classic cars, bounce houses, climbing wall, petting zoo, pony rides, live entertainment, and loads of fun!
